TESTIMONIALS
Four-and-a-half weeks into my Charity Walk, I ended up at this amazing Pub. My journey has taken me to so many beautiful places, and thi sis one of them.
My name’s Craig Slater and my little mate, Ziggy (my dog), is travelling with me. On 1 July 2017 we started a walk for charity covering over 2,000kms to raise money for domestic violence and mental health. And with my huge steak and vegies and great company here, will help with my journey. I cannot thank the owner (Kath) and all the staff, plus the town’s people enough for what they have done for Ziggy and myself! Thank you so much again! Craig Slatter and Ziggy Lovely place to stop on our way back from Dubbo Zoo.
Thank you! McDonald Family, Armidale | August 2017 “The Bloody Long Ride” – We’re riding from Maryborough in Queensland to Canberra (1,600kms) raising awareness and funds for Australian Mitochondrial Disease Foundation.
“Mito” is terminal and has no cure, little effective treatments, is genetic and most people have no idea they are carrying the gene until symptoms show in their loved ones. Great coffee here at the café!! Andrew and Mel | September 2017 Jaidan and I came up for Lach and Emma’s wedding and had the pleasure of staying here at Currabubula Pub. I recommend the bacon and egg roll and a chat with the locals. I’ll be back one day no doubt! Love your work, Kath, you’re a most generous host!
Ned, Jill Clarke and daughter, Penny and her son, Jake, had a first visit for lunch which was so nice.
It was lovely to meet Kath, who was raised in her early years at Kempsey. I knew her Mum, Ann, and it was a surprise to see Ann’s photo. I mentioned it to her daughter that we were also from Kempsey. What a lovely day! What a story! Amazing Pub with history!
Well worth the stop at Currabubula. Well done Kathy and Wayne. Neil and Jeanette, Sydney | 26 May 2018 Thank you for the coffee!
Lots of love, all the way from Ireland! Tania McCathy xx Loved dropping in, been a long time with so many changes, but still as friendly!
Edith McDonald, Brisbane We dropped in on our way to Bingara. Sambuca, lemon juice and ice was unreal, as was the hospitality. We hope to sample the food real soon! Love to Kath and the Big Man!

Dropped in during a road trip with the family. Grandad rode here on his horse, many years ago!
Carole A Henderson, London UK Dropped in for coffee, although Dad dropped in for more than that 68 years ago. Lovely place!
Isabelle Dorrian, Scottland UK | 4 September 2018 Followed in father’s footsteps from 68 years ago, and here I am, drinking bloody coffee?!! How times change and memories are made. One thing for sure, it made my sister smile being here, back in her old stomping ground.
Well done Izzy, and thanks Edith and Neil for making this trip happen! Ian and Helen, Scotland UK | 4 September 2018 Glad all the family are enjoying this road trip, brings back many memories and many thanks to my wife Edith for organising!

Nikki Roberts | 7 March 2019 On a road trip from New Zealand – what a fantastic place to stay, and the food is to die for! I don’t think I ever need to eat again! The hospitality was surperb. Thanks heaps!
Judy Peat, New Zealand | 20 April 2019 My sister found this place by Googling from New Zealand! So glad she did. As a regional NSW resident, I am so impressed. Fabulous people. Fabulous food.
We will be back! Bev Matthews | 20 April 2019 Thanks to Kathy, Wayne and your Staff. Joan, Fay and I stayed in the Curra Cabin and it was absolutely wonderful! The beds were very comfortable and we appreciate that Wayne turned the heater on and it was warm and cosy when we got in at 1.30am and -2ºc on Saturday night, after been out taking photos.
PS: The coffee and meals are sensational at the Currabubula Pub. Well worth a visit! Julie Banks, Tamworth | 22 August 2017 We had a beautiful night's sleep in Curra Cabin, and enjoyed such a delicious meal and fun night with friends at the Pub! (Just thinking about the Surf & Turf's making me hungry again!!)
The Cabin was fitted out beautifully with absolutely nothing to want. The bed was so comfortable and doona so fluffy! Thanks so much, Kath, we so loved every minute of our stay!! Graham Family, Hawks Nest | 10 July 2019 |
